Commissioned for the municipality of Helden-Panningen in 2005 for the village of Egchel.
Inspirated by the place and the local bakery of the village. He, Reynen Funs, was a well-known baker and also provided with his big bakery the food supply of the village.
The basic form is a wheat. The sculpture is an abstracted version of stainless steel.
With the placement of the sculpture, the square on which the wheat is placed has been named after Reynen Funs.
The wheat is also a tribute to Reynen Funs and in a deeper sense also the dependence of man with nature.
